How to Navigate Your TakeProfitTrader Subscriptions
TakeProfitTrader subscriptions are managed through your Control Center dashboard where you can view active Test and PRO accounts, update payment methods, enable or disable auto-renewal, and monitor upcoming billing dates.
Each Test subscription costs $102-170 per month depending on account size and must remain active to continue trading, while PRO accounts require both the monthly subscription ($102-170) plus the one-time $130 activation fee (waived with promo code NOFEE40). Understanding how to navigate subscription settings prevents accidental cancellations, helps you manage multiple accounts efficiently, and ensures you never lose access to funded accounts due to failed payments.
The Control Center provides complete visibility into all subscription details including renewal dates, payment history, and the ability to pause or cancel subscriptions when needed.
I've managed subscriptions across 5 TakeProfitTrader accounts for 2 years—here's how to navigate every subscription setting without losing access to your funded accounts.

- No longer want this specific account
Important: Turning off auto-renewal doesn't cancel immediately. You can trade until the end of your paid period.

- Change to PayPal
- Update billing address
Cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover

How Billing Works for Multiple Accounts
If you have 3 accounts:
Test $50K: Bills on 5th of month ($102)
PRO $50K: Bills on 12th of month ($102)
PRO $100K: Bills on 20th of month ($136)
Total monthly cost: $340 spread across 3 billing dates
Why different dates?
Each account bills monthly from the date you activated it, not on a unified billing cycle.
Example:
- Activated Test on January 5 → Bills 5th every month
- Activated PRO on January 12 → Bills 12th every month
Managing cash flow:
Some traders prefer to consolidate billing by:
- Cancelling all accounts
- Reactivating all on the same day
- Now everything bills on one date
Caveat: You lose any remaining days in your current billing period when you cancel.
Pausing vs Cancelling Subscriptions
Pausing (Not Available)
TakeProfitTrader does not offer subscription pauses. You can only:
- Keep it active (keep paying)
- Cancel it (stop paying, lose access)
Workaround:
Turn off auto-renewal → Trade until billing period ends → Account deactivates
When you want to return: Reactivate by turning auto-renewal back on or passing a new Test.
Cancelling Subscriptions
What happens when you cancel:
- Immediate: Auto-renewal turns off
- End of billing period: Account deactivates
- You lose access to platform and trading
Can you resume a cancelled account?
- Test accounts: No. Must buy and pass new Test.
- PRO accounts: Sometimes. Contact support to request reactivation (may require passing new Test).
When to cancel:
- No longer trading
- Switching to different prop firm
- Can't afford monthly cost
- Violated account and don't want to reset
How to cancel:
Subscriptions → Select account → "Cancel Subscription" → Confirm
You'll receive email confirmation of cancellation.
Troubleshooting Failed Payments
If your payment fails:
- Email notification: TPT emails you within 24 hours
- Grace period: 3-7 days to update payment method
- Account lock: If payment not resolved, account deactivates
Common reasons for failed payments:
- Card expired
- Insufficient funds
- Bank flagged as suspicious (international transaction)
- Billing address doesn't match card
How to fix:
Control Center → Subscriptions → Update Payment Method
If card keeps failing:
Try PayPal or contact your bank to authorize the charge.
Using Credits for Subscriptions
Can you pay subscriptions with credits?
Yes, if you have wallet credits or rewards credits.
How it works:
- Credits in your wallet are used automatically if available
- If credits insufficient, remaining balance charges to card
- If credits fully cover cost, no card charge
Example:
Subscription cost: $102
Credits in wallet: $50
Card charged: $52

Managing Subscriptions Across Multiple Accounts
Best practices for 3-5 accounts:
Strategy 1: Spreadsheet Tracking
Create a spreadsheet with:
- Account name
- Monthly cost
- Billing date
- Auto-renewal status
- Last payment date
Update monthly to stay on top of renewals.
Strategy 2: Calendar Reminders
Add recurring calendar events:
- "TPT Test #1 bills tomorrow ($102)"
- "TPT PRO #2 bills in 3 days ($102)"
Strategy 3: Dedicated Bank Account
Use one credit card or bank account exclusively for TPT subscriptions. Makes expense tracking easier.
Strategy 4: Turn Off Auto-Renewal on Unused Accounts
If you have 5 PRO accounts but only actively trade 3:
- Keep auto-renewal ON for 3 active accounts
- Turn OFF for 2 inactive accounts
- Reactivate when needed
Saves: $204/month ($102 × 2 accounts)
Subscription Costs by Account Size
Without promo code NOFEE40: Add $68/month to each tier.
Scaling cost example:
5 × $50K PRO accounts = $510/month = $6,120/year in subscriptions alone

Viewing Subscription Receipts
Need receipts for taxes or expense reports?
Control Center → Subscriptions → Click account → "Transaction History" → Download receipt PDFs
Each receipt shows:
- Charge date
- Amount paid
- Payment method
- Transaction ID
- Billing address
For annual tax prep: Download all receipts from January-December, total them for Schedule C Line 10 (Commissions and Fees).

Common Subscription Issues
Issue 1: "I was charged but don't have an active account"
Cause: Account was activated but you didn't realize subscription started
Fix: Contact support with transaction ID for refund review
Issue 2: "Auto-renewal charged me after I turned it off"
Cause: You turned off renewal AFTER billing date
Fix: Timing matters. Turn off renewal at least 24 hours before next billing date.
Issue 3: "I have 2 charges for the same account"
Cause: Duplicate billing error (rare) or two different accounts
Fix: Check transaction history. If truly duplicate, contact support for refund.
Issue 4: "My subscription cancelled but I didn't cancel it"
Cause: Payment failure → Grace period ended → Auto-cancelled
Fix: Update payment method and contact support to reactivate.
Bottom Line
TakeProfitTrader subscriptions are managed through the Control Center dashboard where you can view active Test and PRO accounts ($102-170 monthly per account depending on size), update payment methods, toggle auto-renewal on or off, and monitor billing dates for each individual subscription. Each account bills monthly from its activation date rather than on a unified billing cycle, so managing multiple accounts requires tracking 3-5 different billing dates if you're scaling to the maximum allowed funded accounts.
Failed payments trigger email notifications with 3-7 day grace periods to update payment methods before account deactivation, and you can use wallet credits or rewards credits to offset subscription costs if available. TakeProfitTrader doesn't offer subscription pauses—only cancel and reactivate options—and cancelled Test accounts require purchasing and passing a new evaluation while cancelled PRO accounts may require contacting support for reactivation.
Successful subscription management for traders running multiple accounts involves calendar reminders for billing dates, spreadsheet tracking of auto-renewal settings, and strategic use of auto-renewal toggles to keep only actively-traded accounts on recurring billing while manually reactivating secondary accounts when needed.
