Most traders don't track their renewal dates until they see an unexpected charge. TakeProfitTrader's Test accounts bill monthly at the exact time you purchased—if you bought your account at 2:47 PM on January 15th, your renewal hits at 2:47 PM on February 15th. Miss this by a few hours and you're charged for another month even if you were about to pass your Test. This matters especially if you're close to passing and trying to avoid an extra monthly charge.

This guide shows you exactly where to find your renewal date, how renewal timing works, what happens to your account at renewal, and how to manage or cancel your subscription if needed.

Where to Find Your Renewal Date

Finding your renewal date takes about 30 seconds once you know where to look.

Step 1: Log in to your TakeProfitTrader dashboard

Go to takeprofittrader.com and log in with your credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to the Subscriptions section

In your dashboard menu, click on "Subscriptions" or "My Subscriptions." This shows all your active Test accounts and their billing information.

Step 3: Locate your renewal date

Each subscription displays:

  • Account size and type
  • Current subscription status (Active, Disabled, Passed)
  • Next renewal date
  • Renewal time (same time you purchased)

Example: If you see "Next Renewal: February 15, 2026 at 2:47 PM EST," your next charge hits at exactly 2:47 PM Eastern Time on February 15th.

Important: Renewal dates are listed in Eastern Time (ET). If you're in a different timezone, convert accordingly to avoid confusion.

How Renewal Timing Works

TakeProfitTrader doesn't use a standardized renewal time like midnight or 9 AM. Instead, your subscription renews at the exact time you purchased it.

Example scenario

  • You purchased a $50K Test account on January 15, 2026 at 10:23 AM ET
  • Your first renewal: February 15, 2026 at 10:23 AM ET
  • Your second renewal: March 15, 2026 at 10:23 AM ET
  • And so on, every 30 days at 10:23 AM ET

Why this matters: If you're racing to pass your Test before renewal, you need to know the exact hour and minute your charge hits. Passing at 11 AM when your renewal is at 10:30 AM means you just got charged for another month.

Time zones and renewal

All renewal times display in Eastern Time (ET). If you're trading from a different timezone:

  • Pacific Time: Subtract 3 hours (10:23 AM ET = 7:23 AM PT)
  • Central European Time: Add 6 hours (10:23 AM ET = 4:23 PM CET)
  • UK Time: Add 5 hours (10:23 AM ET = 3:23 PM GMT)

Set a reminder on your phone in your local timezone so you don't miss it.

What Happens at Renewal

Renewal behavior depends on your account status.

Active accounts: No reset, just a charge

If your Test account is active (you haven't passed, failed, or disabled it), renewal simply charges your payment method for another 30 days. Your account continues exactly where it left off:

  • Balance stays the same
  • Profit/loss history remains
  • Trading days count stays
  • All progress preserved

Nothing resets. You just pay for another month of access.

Disabled accounts: Reset to starting balance

If your Test account is disabled (you violated a rule or manually disabled it), renewal triggers an automatic reset:

  • Balance returns to starting amount
  • Profit/loss erases
  • Trading days reset to zero
  • You start fresh

This is actually useful if you violated your account and were planning to reset anyway—renewal resets it automatically without paying the $100 reset fee.

Passed accounts: Subscription auto-cancels

Once you pass your Test and activate your PRO account, your Test subscription automatically cancels. You won't be charged again. PRO accounts have no monthly fees—just the one-time $130 activation fee.

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing subscription history

In the Subscriptions section, you can view:

  • Past charges and dates
  • Payment method on file
  • Billing history

This is useful if you need to track how many months you've been paying or want to verify a charge.

Cancelling your subscription

If you want to cancel before your next renewal, follow the cancellation guide on TakeProfitTrader's help center. Once cancelled, your account stays active until your current billing period ends, then it disables.

Example: You cancel on February 10th, but your renewal date is February 15th. Your account stays active until February 15th, then disables. You won't be charged on February 15th.

Letting subscriptions auto-cancel

If you pass your Test, your subscription cancels automatically when you activate PRO. You don't need to manually cancel anything.

If you violate your account and don't plan to reset, your subscription stays active and keeps charging monthly unless you manually cancel it.

Common Renewal Mistakes

Mistake 1: Not tracking renewal date while close to passing

You're at $2,800 profit on a $3,000 target, planning to pass tomorrow. Your renewal hits at 9 AM, but you don't start trading until 10 AM. You just got charged for another month even though you would've passed within hours.

The fix: Check your renewal date when you're within 80-90% of your profit target. Plan to pass at least 24 hours before renewal.

Mistake 2: Forgetting timezone differences

You think your renewal is "tomorrow morning" but forget you're on Pacific Time and renewal is Eastern Time. Your renewal hits 3 hours earlier than you expected, charging you before you intended.

The fix: Convert renewal time to your local timezone and set a calendar reminder.

Mistake 3: Assuming midnight renewals

Many subscription services renew at midnight. TakeProfitTrader renews at your purchase time, which could be 2:47 PM or any other time. You assume you have "all day" but renewal hits mid-afternoon.

The fix: Note the exact time, not just the date.

Mistake 4: Not cancelling after a violation

You violate your account on Day 10 and decide you're done with TakeProfitTrader. You forget to cancel. Three weeks later, you're charged for another month even though your account is disabled.

The fix: If you're done with your account, cancel immediately. Don't wait until renewal date.

Renewal vs Reset Fees

Understanding the relationship between renewals and resets:

If you violate your account:

  • Option 1: Pay $100 to reset immediately and continue trading on the same billing cycle
  • Option 2: Wait until renewal and let it auto-reset (you pay your monthly fee instead of the $100 reset fee)

Cost comparison example ($50K account, $170/month):

  • Violate on Day 5, pay $100 reset = $100 to continue
  • Violate on Day 5, wait until Day 30 renewal = $0 extra (renewal resets automatically)

If you violate early in your billing cycle and weren't planning to keep paying monthly anyway, waiting for renewal is cheaper than paying the reset fee.

If you violate late in your cycle (Day 25+) and want to keep trying, paying $100 to reset immediately is cheaper than waiting 5 days for renewal and paying $170.

FAQ: Renewal Dates

Can I change my renewal date? No, it's locked to your original purchase time. The only way to change it is to cancel and purchase a new account.

What if my payment method fails at renewal? Your account may be suspended until payment is updated. Update your payment method in the dashboard before renewal.

Do PRO accounts have renewal dates? No, PRO accounts have no monthly fees. Once you pay the $130 activation fee, there are no recurring charges.

What happens if I cancel right before renewal? Your account stays active until your current period ends, then disables. You won't be charged for the next month.

Can I get a refund if I pass right after renewal? No, TakeProfitTrader doesn't refund monthly fees. This is why timing your pass before renewal matters.

Does renewal time change with Daylight Saving Time? Renewal time stays in Eastern Time, which observes DST. If you're in a timezone that doesn't observe DST, the time difference changes twice a year.

Bottom Line

Your renewal date and time are visible in the Subscriptions section of your dashboard—it's the exact date and time you purchased, repeating monthly. Active accounts don't reset at renewal, they just charge you for another 30 days. Disabled accounts auto-reset at renewal. If you're close to passing, check your renewal date and plan to pass at least 24 hours before to avoid an unnecessary monthly charge. PRO accounts auto-cancel Test subscriptions, so once you pass, you're done paying monthly fees.
