E8 Markets Trading Hours by Asset Class (2026)
Trading hours at E8 Markets depend on two things: what you're trading and which account type you're on. The combination determines whether you can hold positions overnight, when your trades get force-closed, and which session gaps you need to avoid.
I've been caught off guard by the Signature force-close more than once. If you don't know it's coming, it will close a profitable position at the worst possible time.
Forex and CFD Trading Hours
E8 Markets follows standard forex market hours for all CFD accounts:
Market open: Sunday 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Market close: Friday 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Daily maintenance: Brief window around 5:00 PM ET (server rollover)
During the trading week, forex markets run essentially 24 hours with a short maintenance break. Spreads widen significantly during low-liquidity periods:
- Asian session (7:00 PM β 3:00 AM ET): Lowest EUR/USD volume, widest spreads
- London session (3:00 AM β 12:00 PM ET): Peak liquidity, tightest spreads
- New York session (8:00 AM β 5:00 PM ET): Second-highest volume, news-heavy
- London/NY overlap (8:00 AM β 12:00 PM ET): Best execution window
Overnight Holding Rules by Account Type
E8 Signature Forex: The Daily Close Window
E8 Signature Forex force-closes all positions at 23:00 server time. Trading reopens at 00:15 server time. That's a 75-minute gap where no positions can be held.
This means:
- No swing trades lasting more than one session
- Any position open at 22:55 will be auto-closed at 23:00 regardless of P&L
- Swap fees are irrelevant (you'll never hold overnight)
Plan your last trade to close well before 23:00. Getting force-closed at a bad price because you were hoping for a recovery is a preventable mistake.
E8 Signature Futures: Intraday-Only Rules
All E8 Signature Futures positions must close by 15:10 CT (4:10 PM ET) daily. This follows CME clearing hours.
Trading window: Varies by contract, but generally 5:00 PM CT (Sunday) through 4:00 PM CT (Friday) with a daily settlement break.
Force-close at 15:10 CT: Any open position gets auto-liquidated. There's no warning besides knowing the rule exists.
No exceptions. It doesn't matter if you're up $5,000 on a position. If it's open at 15:10, it gets closed at whatever price the market offers.
Crypto Trading Hours on E8 Markets
Crypto on E8 Markets does not trade 24/7 like on exchanges. Crypto CFDs follow the same schedule as forex, with positions subject to the same force-close rules as other instruments on Signature accounts.
On E8 One, you can hold crypto positions overnight and through weekends (subject to platform availability and spread conditions). On Signature, crypto positions close at 23:00 server time like everything else.
